About Us
Since 2014, Edmond Counseling and Professional Development has provided empathetic, evidenced based, counseling to children, teens, and adults in Edmond, Oklahoma.
In addition to counseling services, in 2014 Edmond Counseling began providing continuing education workshops for Oklahoma mental health professionals. The continuing education training branch of Edmond Counseling would later become the Oklahoma Counseling Institute.
By 2019 Edmond Counseling was providing thirty CE workshops per year for Oklahoma LPCs, LMFTs, LADCs, and LCSWs.
With the introduction of COVID-19 and quarantining becoming the new reality, Edmond Counseling pivoted by increasing it's online continuing education workshops and is proud to have helped over a thousand Oklahoma mental health professionals in meeting their continuing education requirements in 2020.
In 2021, the Oklahoma Counseling Institute expanded it's online offerings to include articles concerning licensure board decisions, insurance changes, and mental health resources.
In May of 2022, the Oklahoma Counseling Institute hosted it's first conference the Summer Super Summit.
Presently the Oklahoma Counseling Institute continues to be a leader in providing high quality, evidenced based, continuing education for thousands of Oklahoma LPCs, LMFTs, LADCs, and LCSWs each year.
