A New Direction for OCI

Since 2014, the Oklahoma Counseling Institute has provided continuing education for Oklahoma mental health professionals. We have become a leader in providing high-quality, convenient, and affordable CEUs. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to indefinitely suspend our in-person continuing education trainings. As part of this decision, we will also be suspending the Summer Super Summit for 2027.

We will continue to provide live webinars and on-demand courses to meet the CEU requirements of Oklahoma LPCs, LMFTs, LADCs, and LCSWs.

This was not an easy decision. We have greatly valued the opportunity to bring Oklahoma mental health professionals together for our in-person trainings including  the Summer Super Summit. These events have allowed us to learn together, connect with colleagues, and strengthen our professional community.

However, we know that many Oklahoma mental health professionals are facing increasing financial pressures in this current economy. Operating costs continue to rise, personal and household expenses have increased, while reimbursement rates have often remained stagnant or, in some cases, have been reduced.

We have been excited to see more and more of you choose our on-demand courses and live webinars as convenient and affordable ways to meet your continuing education requirements.

Moving away from in-person events will allow us to focus our resources on expanding our offerings of live webinars and on-demand courses. This move will allow us to continue to meet our goals of providing convenient, affordable, and high-quality CEUs for Oklahoma mental health professionals.

We will continue to provide Oklahoma board-approved continuing education through:

Live webinars, with an expanded schedule of training opportunities throughout the year.

On-demand continuing education, with a growing library of more than 70 courses that can be completed at your convenience.

Earlier this year we introduced our $99 annual on-demand subscription, which provides an affordable way to access all of our on-demand continuing education course library throughout the year.



Starting in October 2026, we will begin offering FREE CE Fridays, giving Oklahoma mental health professionals the opportunity to attend a free live webinar conveniently from from their home or office and earn free continuing education!

While we will miss seeing you for our in-person workshops our biggest source of sadness comes from no longer seeing you at our Summer Super Summit. If you have already paid for the 2027 Summer Super Summit you will receive a full refund.

While I am disappointed that we will not be gathering together in person for the foreseeable future, I am excited about our new focus. OCI remains committed to providing you online training in informative and innovative ways while also remaining an affordable and convenient source of CEUs for the Oklahoma mental health professional.
